The Cloth

Each Faraway Goods cloth is hand-dyed by Balinese artisans using traditional batik wax-resist techniques. No two are exactly alike.

Sewn into every cloth: a discreet pocket filled with travel essentials we've tested and curated on the road. Lip balm, earplugs, a mini journal, and more -- everything a traveler needs, wrapped in something beautiful.

$75 – $100 Gift-wrapped & ready to give

Why Faraway?

We started Faraway Goods because the best gifts aren't things -- they're invitations. An invitation to go somewhere, to be comfortable when you get there, and to carry a little piece of craft from the other side of the world.

Our batik cloths are made in small batches on the island of Bali, where the tradition of wax-resist dyeing has been practiced for generations. We partner directly with artisan workshops, paying fair prices and keeping batch sizes small.

The pockets came from a simple idea: what if the most beautiful thing you packed was also the most useful?
